Kim Delaney, an American actress best known as detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she was awarded the Emmy Award. In addition, she was a part of series like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the only girl from her mom who was a homemaker as well as a high-ranking executive of her union, the United Auto Workers. Delaney lived most of her life with 4 brothers. She dreamed of being a reporter for the court in the early years of her life, however she began modelling in high school eventually garnering commercials when she moved to New York. Her first film role was as a teenage innocent on All My Children, a soap opera from 1981. Delaney is a well-known actress who has been in many films, TV movies, and dramas.
